Australian Work & Holiday Visa (U.S. Only)

The work and holiday visa is for tertiary educated people aged 18 to 30. This visa allows you to work and travel for up to 12 months in Australia. Work that is undertaken must be to supplement the cost of your holiday through periods of temporary or casual employment and not be the sole purpose of travel.

Most countries under this visa program have a limit on the number of work and holiday visas issued per year.

The cost of an Australian work and holiday visa is $499.00 USD.

Currently, the work and holiday visa arrangement is in place for people from: Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey and the United States of America. We only deal with applicants from the U.S. as the other countries require manual applications. Applicants from the U.S. can apply online.

If you are granted a work and holiday visa you can:

Enter Australia at any time within 12 months of the visa grant date.
Stay for up to 12 months in Australia.
Leave and re–enter Australia any number of times in the 12 months from the date of first entry.
Undertake temporary employment in Australia.
Study for up to 4 months.
