Australian Work & Holiday Visa Obligations
You must comply with the visa conditions put on your visa.
When your work and holiday visa is granted, you will be issued with notification of this usually by E-Mail. This outlines all the terms and conditions of your which you must abide by.
Visas conditions that apply include:
- Work Restrictions - You can not work with one employer for more than six months.*
- You have 12 months to activate your visa from the date it was granted, you cannot extend or defer this time.**
- You can study for up to 4 months.
* Whether full time, part time, casual or shift work.
** Your visa will simply expire if you do not enter before the date given.
*** If you wish to study for longer than this you must apply for a student visa.
Please note that if you obtain a new passport after having a view granted, you will need to contact the department with details of your new passport.
Your visa will have to be relocated to your new passport as the details will not match those on your visa grant.
