Australian Working Holiday Visa Requirements
To be eligible to apply for an Australian working holiday visa, you must meet certain requirements.
To apply you must:
- Be between the ages of 18 - 30 years old.
- Be outside Australia to apply and be granted this visa.
- Have no dependent children.
- Hold a valid passport.
- Meet medical and character requirements.
- Meet financial requirements.
As part of your application you will be asked to answer a series of medical and character questions. You must declare any medical conditions or criminal convictions. Further information will be requested and a decision will be made at the discretion of the Australian government.
You must also declare that you will have funds to support your initial period of stay in Australia and be able to show evidence of this when you enter Australia. We advise that you take a bank statement or savings account statement showing funds of $5,000 AUD (approximately $5,162 USD).
Once your application has been submitted, you will be issued with a TRN (transaction reference number) which is unique to each application. This will allow you to track the status of your visa.
Once your working holiday visa has been approved, you will be issued with your grant. This will normally be sent to you by E-Mail.
You must also hold a valid passport from one of the following countries:
- Belgium
- Canada
- Cyprus
- Denmark
- Estonia
- Finland
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Italy
- Japan
- Korea
- Malta
- The Netherlands
- Norway
- Sweden
- Taiwan
- United Kingdom
